Burundi is an up and coming African coffee growing area. The Kavugangoma area has rich, fertile soils, with high rainfall and altitudes which are ideal conditions for growing quality Arabica coffee.

Smallholder farmers are able to easily cultivate the coffee without additives, rendering it organically grown.

It is a fully washed coffee, with a bright lemony fruitiness, dark chocolate on the back palate and caramelly aromas.
Medium roasted with a silky, smooth body.
Ideal for pour overs and aeropresses.

A Burundi That Demands Your Attention

Pulled as an espresso, this coffee is bright, lively. It’s the kind of cup that wakes up your palate rather than just your caffeine receptors. There’s a clarity to it — The Green Bean team have clearly trusted this origin enough to let it speak for itself. This is a coffee with character and terroir you can actually taste. Lee and Iris handled this roast with care and one of the best espressos I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates a more nuanced, fruit-forward cup — and a reminder of why single-origin espresso is worth seeking out.

Awesome coffee! Bright and lemony up front, dark chocolate and caramel coming through after. I've been running it Turkish grind through an unpressurised basket and it works perfectly, good crema and even extraction. Would definitely recommend.
