Green Bean’s Kenya - Nyeri is my favourite for filter coffee at the moment. Much like raw honey, coffee flavour profiles from any region vary from season to season. Lee and Iris have personally sourced great coffees over the years and I love being able to try out their various high quality coffees as new supplies come in. Tired coffee from supermarket shelves just doesn’t do it for me. Knowing the roasting date and being in control of my storage conditions is far more useful to me than a commercial “use by” date. Green Bean have been roasting to order for me for years. Their roasting standards are consistently superb, and shipping gets each batch to me early the next day after ordering (Johannesburg).
I cannot start a good day without a cup or two of single source coffee from Green Bean. I have tasted several varieties, and they are all excellent, but my long-term favourite is Kenya Nyeri. The beans are roasted to perfection, and the coffee has all kinds of subtle nuances that linger on the palate. Iris and Lee, keep up the dedicated pursuit of coffee perfection.
I have enjoyed Green Bean Coffee's beans for my espressos for many years. Lee and Iris's roasts never disappoint and the fresh roast dates make each cup a voyage of discovery taste-wise. Their Kenya - Nyeri roast lives up to this tradition. Keep up the good work!
I really enjoy this coffee, it’s smooth, easy to drink, and just a really solid cup all round. It’s the kind of coffee you can have every day. Knowing the effort Lee & Iris put into sourcing and roasting their coffee shows. It’s great to see that come through in the quality & taste.
