Ethiopia

Ethiopia is a really unique country, as far as Arabica coffee goes - it is one of the highest producers of high-grown coffee (above 2000m), with extremely prized, and well known regions, like Yirgacheffe and Harrar, and it is the only African country where the people not only drink their coffee, but revere it!

Ethiopian coffee brewing rituals are recognised worldwide! It's also an interesting country for the history of coffee - originally Abyssinia, it was invaded by Italy in 1936 and it is from here that the Italians discovered this amazing growing region. To this day, many of Italy's superior commercial coffees source their beans from Ethiopia.
